A load off your mind: free giveaway!

*******************This contest is now closed.***************************

It’s time for another giveaway! This giveaway is inspired by our ongoing Greener Living challenge. You can read all about that right here.

Yesterday, we talked about having more ingredient awareness when choosing our laundry detergents. What are we really putting in our water systems when we wash our clothes? You can read more about it right here.

Today, I’m gonna make trying a new eco-friendly laundry soap even easier. I’m giving away two 50fl. oz bottles of Seventh Generation Natural 2X Concentrated Laundry Detergent. This laundry soap is hypoallergenic, biodegradable and even works well in cold water, helping you save a little extra on your energy bill!

I’ve chosen the “Free & Clear” variety for this giveaway, to make it extra handy for those of you with any allergies. Each one of these small-and-mighty bottles washes 33 loads of laundry. You can keep them both for yourself or invite a friend to join you in trying an earth friendly laundry soap. Free laundry soap and you’re protecting the planet while you wash. Now that’s what I call “a load off your mind”!

To Enter:  Leave a comment that begins with “GET A LOAD OF ME!” and tell me how many loads of laundry you do in an average week. Only one entry per email address will be allowed, so that everyone gets a fair chance of winning.

  1. Get a load of me! I do 8-10 loads of laundry in a typical week. With 5 people, that’s one load of clothes most days–less in the summer of course, but easily that much in the winter when we all wear layers, a load or two of towels per week and a load or two of bed linens per week.

  2. GET A LOAD OF ME!”

We do…hmmm…..probably about one load of laundry a day, so maybe 7 a week? That clothes for 4 people, sheets, towels and miscellaneous blankets and whatnots.

  3. Get a load of me! This is great. Sign me up, I’d love to win. Thanks for the chance. I do 2-3 loads a week.

  4. GET A LOAD OF ME!

I do 4 to 5 loads a week and this would help me out a lot! Thank you so much for letting me know about this eco-friendly laundry soap and the giveaway!

  5. GET A LOAD OF ME! When I do laundry, I go every few weeks to the laundry mat and do probably 6-10 loads at a time. Thanks for the giveaway. I’d love to win!

  6. “GET A LOAD OF ME!” I am forced to do laundry just about every day. I only have two boys and one husband – but my youngest son changes his clothes a couple of times a day… It’s funny though because I can’t get my older son (15) to put on clean clothes…. Anyway, I do an average of 10 loads per week. Thank you for the opportunity for the giveaway. I love your site !!!

  7. GET A LOAD OF ME! Well…only two people to wash for, but we tend to do things together in large batches, usually four or so loads on the weekends. Part of that is because we both travel for work, but the habit got established in our first apartment. The laundry facility was at the other end of the complex in the underground parking garage. The very first time I did the wash, I was confronted by an angry man who had lost a towel. He was quite sure that, if I hadn’t personally taken it, I MUST know who did. He followed me across the garage, and at last my temper got the better of me. I turned on him and said “I did NOT take your towel, please GET AWAY FROM ME.” This doesn’t sound like much in type, but coming from the open throat of a dramatic mezzo, the sheer volume of sound stopped him in his tracks. It’s not a sound your average joe expects a few inches from his face. He mumbled something ending in “…sorry…” and left. I never saw Towel Boy again, but after that Ben and I did the washing together, and the habit stuck. Thanks for your many green living suggestions, every little bit helps.

  8. GET A LOAD OF ME!
Hi Katherine! We do about 3 loads of laundry a week, more when we’re being extra good about it… but since we’re about to move to an apartment where we won’t have a washer-dryer, I might be doing a little more old fashioned hand washing… we’ll see! But I definitely dig the eco-friendly laundry detergent. I’m allergic to just about anything else it seems.

  9. GET A LOAD OF ME!
Same as the above comment. I don’t have a washer/dryer in my apartment either, so since I do large loads once every three or four weeks at the laundromat, I’m always hand washing a few things here and there about once a week. I like specific detergents firstly for the clothes, and also for my hands, so that they don’t get irritated. LOVE ME SOME SEVENTH GENERATION!

  10. Get a load of me!
I wash about 3-4 loads a week. I typically use,Tide coldwater but i am intrigued by this 7th generation! Viva la Gaia!

  11. GET A LOAD OF ME!
I live by myself so my weekly laundry amount is much smaller than those that have posted prior to me. I would say I typically do 1 load a week on average. Thanks for offering this fun giveaway!

  12. we do 8-12 loads a week. depends on how many accidents.

  13. Get a load of me!

I live by myself also. I at least do 1 a week I may do a couple more depending on how much I have to do. I usually wait until I can get a almost full load.

  14. Get a load of me!
about 1 load a week, but some weeks none at all.
